MUST I PRAY IN A CERTAIN WAY ?
Yes....You must pray through Jesus by accepting Him as your Saviour by faith. By accepting His shed blood as payment for your sins.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6
The only way to have answered prayer is to come to God through His son Jesus. So, first you must be saved...You must be a child of Jesus to have your prayers answered.
IS THAT ALL IT TAKES TO HAVE ANSWERED PRAYER ?
No, it requires one more function....You must pray in His will.....with faith.
"And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, he heareth us: And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."
1 John 5:14,15
Prayers prayed in God's will are answered prayer.
HOW DO YOU PRAY IN GOD'S WILL ?
Any prayer, which is designed to glorify God is prayer prayed in His will.
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to recieve glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
Revelations 4:11
When we live for God's pleasure.....letting Him be Lord of our lives, totally surrendered to Him. We recieve answers to our prayers; because then, we pray His will and God answers all prayer prayed in His will.
"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"
